I decided education would be my career while at the University of Northern Iowa. It was via UNI I had the opportunity to student teach in San Antonio, Texas. I went on to Houston, Texas where I taught 5th grade in the Galena Park School District. Later, I taught 3rd grade in Monticello, Iowa. While in Monticello, I received my Masters in Administration through Drake University. I then relocated to the Howard-Winneshiek School District where I was the Elementary Principal at the Ridgeway center and the district curriculum director.
After all of this moving around, my wife and I decided to relocate near all of you fine folks. This is currently my ninth year as principal in the Jesup District.
Amy and I have two kids, Bella is 4 and Chase is 1. They keep us very busy and are the center of our world.
That's fantastic! I hope it was due to the great turnout at EveryDay Math night!!!
